How-To Overview
It doesn't get any easier than this! Check out this quick
overview of how to paint your own graphical curb address with eye-popping appeal!
Every stencil kit comes with detailed,
step-by-step instructions on how to paint your curb address and
get professional results. Below is a quick overview of the process.
- Get all your materials together: your stencil kit, masking
tape and the paint colors you are going to use. You may want to
bring some newspaper or a roll of waxed paper for overspray
protection.
-
Pick the location on your curb where you want your address to be
and anchor the background template provided with your kit with
masking tape. Place 2" masking tape, newspaper or other suitable
material around the perimeter of the background
template as an overspray
guard.
-
Spray your background using the the appropriate paint color for
your desired color scheme.
- Beginning with either the graphic or the house numbers, insert
the stencils into the alignment tabs in the background template
and anchor them with a small piece of tape.
- Cover areas not to be painted with a piece of newspaper, waxed
paper, piece of cardboard, etc. For example, cover the graphic
background area when painting the numbers, and vice versa.
-
Spray your numbers/graphic with the desired paint color. Some
graphics require two or three layers to complete. Allow paint to
dry between layers.
- Apply the glass reflector beads to the numbers while the paint
is still wet.
- Allow a few minutes for the paint to dry and remove stencils.

That's it! That is all it takes to do to have an attractive and professional looking
curb address with eye-popping appeal!
