EYA is a family run venture. Based in
Omaha, Nebraska, not far from Boys Town, we have a management staff of two
(my wife and I) and a labor force of four: ages 18 down to seven.
EYA started in 2004 as a way to make money needed to
pay for my oldest daughter’s high school tuition. We knew we had to come up
with an additional source of income if we were going to be able to send
the kids to the schools we wanted to.
The idea of curb painting always intrigued
me because I knew a few people who had done it and
made good money, and it seemed so …simple …and obvious. I was also amazed at
the number of homeowners who paid to have it done, even though it was
often ugly. But, hey, we needed the money and it was something the kids could help out with.
After lots and lots of pondering, we began testing some ideas
to paint graphically personalized curb addresses to make us unique and
help set us apart. After more than
a year of research and trial and error, we came up with the EYA stenciling system.
The system worked really well and people loved the graphics! From there we
decided to begin making kits so others could make money, too.
Today, Express Your Address is still
going strong and continues to provide assistance to our family for high
school and college for the kids.
If you like our idea, I hope you
will buy a kit. We could use the money, and I'm sure you could too!
